A trusting heart
It is during our first year of life that we learn about trust. Our earliest experiences affect our perception of our safety and security in the world. They establish a foundation for our confidence in the actions of those around us. When we experience love and caring on a consistent basis in these formative years, we see the world in a similar way. It nurtures our being and allows us the freedom to be who we are. When our early experiences are lacking in the love and caring we deserve, we find the world to be more unpredictable and unsafe. It requires much more work to undo those early experiences, but it is possible to do so. A trusting heart does best when it realizes its connection to a source that does not function based on its own frailties and insecurities. It is a connection created from pure love that will never fail or abandon us. Whenever I find a coin I am reminded of that connection by reading four simple words engraved upon it. Use whatever term that fits for you in what that means. Learn to trust that you are worth being loved and cared for unconditionally. Only you can break that connection for it is not in the nature of source to do so. What does trust feel and look like for you today?
