Father's Day

We were each given a father who contributed to who we are today. We each made decisions based upon the nature of our relationship with this man. He may have been the model of what a father should be, supporting and encouraging us to be our best without condemnation. Doing so provided us with the tools for approaching life in a healthy way. He may have been verbally or physically abusive allowing us to practice empathy with others who walked the same path. Or he may have been absent completely permitting us to choose a surrogate father who could nurture us in ways that the biological parent could never achieve. Perhaps he was none of these and yet the Universe gave you what you required to aspire to make a difference in the world. Once you understand that you are so much more than the parent that gave you life, you will see that you were placed on this planet for a specific purpose. It is up to you to claim that purpose and follow through with it in this lifetime. What is your purpose here today?
