Spring has sprung...well, maybe

For people in the northern hemisphere a new season of Spring is upon us. If you are reading this in a region below the equator you are welcoming Fall. We tend to look at what is happening based on our own perspective. My first thought today was only of living in North America and what season that hails. It wasn't until I began to write this blog that I thought otherwise. How often do we forget to think beyond our narrowly defined place on this planet? When we think of a specific season like Spring, we may conjure up visions of trees beginning to bud, robins returning to nest for the summer, and the end of winter's snows. Growing up in the eastern region of the United States, that was my experience. When I lived in the Southwest, that version of Spring might have lasted for one week minus the snow. My current experience with Spring living in the Bay area is even more different. Think of how this applies to what is happening in your life. It all depends on what your frame of mind is when describing it. It isn't that one is the true version and the rest are in error. They are all just many facets to be considered when looking at a single event. When we do so we see beyond the moment. What is your version of today and is there another way of looking at it?
