What do I need to forgive?
For us to move forward in our lives it is important that we take inventory of those who we believe have wronged us. Once that list is in place, think about the effect it had upon you. Did you make a decision to become a victim in life? Or did you decide to become a champion of others who experienced similar circumstances? Or did you develop a mistrust of everyone around you? Once we identify the effect, then it is time to practice forgiveness with each person involved. Remember that this does not mean approval for what the person did. Once you forgive, you may make a decision to remove yourself from contact with this individual on either a temporary or permanent basis. There may be other actions that need to occur for you to put closure on this situation. You will be guided in what to do. Now it is time to look at forgiving yourself. Is there anything that you are berating yourself on that could use a heavy dose of love and acceptance? Look at the heavy emotional and even physical price you pay for holding on to your thoughts and feelings of the past. Once we release the circumstances and individuals involved we can begin to heal and be open to the good that the Universe has in store for us. Who do you need to forgive in your life and what are you willing to do to release what is behind it?
