Collective thought

I remember attendeding a performance of the musical, Hamilton, in San Francisco. For some reason I was feeling lukewarm about going to see it. It wasn't surprising that I almost missed arriving on time since all the other shows in the series were scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM, and this one began at 1:00. At 12:00 something told me to check the ticket for the starting time and there only an hour to drive almost 30 miles and find a parking space. But everything fell into place and there I was in my seat at 12:55. I could feel the electricity in the theater as the capacity crowd cheered with excitement when the show began. I found myself caught up in the music and the story. At the end of the performance I was on my feet wildly clapping. What happened to change my attitude? I think it was the energy that was shared by those in attendance. It was contagious. It demonstrated the positive effect of the power of collective thought and the importance of surrounding yourself with like minded people. When was the last time you  felt the power of collective thought and what did it tell you?
