Express your gratitude directly
One way to live a life filled with positive experiences is through our expression of gratitude on a regular basis. We may do this through journaling or mentally noting areas and events for which we are grateful. Another method is to share our gratitude and appreciation with someone directly. This can be through an email, a letter, a card, a phone call, or face to face. Tell the person precisely what he or she did for you and how it positively affected your life. Try this out and see how it affects your happiness level. I have even heard of keeping a journal on a specific person for a set period of time noting behaviors you have observed that you found especially helpful to yourself or others. At the end of that time present the journal to that person and you can bet that it will make a difference in his or her life as it is read. Who are you grateful for today?
