Family values

When I teach the workshop on the Law of Attraction, we look at obstacles that stand in the way of us getting what we truly desire in life. A number of these obstacles are related to the messages we receive from our family of origin. There are family values related to kindness, acceptance, and understanding. There are also family values of victimization, mistrust, and doubt. It isn't difficult to see how they affect what people desire manifesting in their lives. In the first case I see how more good and love are present. In the second case I see how more situations that bring about the feelings of victimization emerge. People can pronounce that they believe in positive thinking, BUT if you had going on in your life what they have going on in theirs, you can see why things aren't getting better. I find that I have a hard time listening to the long laments and realize that major changes in thinking would be needed to turn that around for them. It is possible to challenge those obstacles and see life changing events manifest. What are your family values and how are they contributing to your success in life?
