It only takes a few
We often ask ourselves, "There is so much happening in the world today. I am only one person. What could I possible do to change the world?" Our belief is that it takes vast numbers to bring about a change. That may not be true. The concentrated efforts of just a few can cause a significant change in consciousness to take place. During the Israeli-Lebanese War in the 1980s, a small number of people were trained to focus their thoughts on peace at a synchronized time. The result was a decrease in nonpeaceful activities. For a desired effect to occur only a small number of people were needed. For such a change to transpire it only required 100 people in a population of one million. On a global scale only about 8000 people needed to focus their attention on the desired effect for a shift to occur. We underestimate the power of the mind and the energy it generates. Imagine the healing that could take place if only one small town chose to engage in such an exercise. Now multiply that number to include an entire city and what it could mean for the well-being of our planet. If you could harness such mental energy, where would you focus its effect?
