It's not too late

There are times when my career coaching clients look back at their lives and see gaps. They interpret these gaps as plateaus when they felt like their lives were on hold. They didn't move forward and they didn't move backward. It feels like one large void for them. Even though I remind them that they were still handling life on a daily basis, it is hard for them to see it that way. They are filled with regret for what they perceive as lost time. All that anyone really has is today. What is it that you thought was missing and decide if it is important enough to pursue today. Turn your "if onlys" into "I cans" and "I wills." If you wished you had completed your college degree, consider taking a class that will eventually lead to a diploma. If you wished you had pursued a specific occupation, research it to determine if it is still right for you. In today's world people in their 70s and older are sitting in classrooms, starting romantic relationships, and traveling throughout the world. If you are mentally and physically able to tackle your dreams and intentions, be open to ways in which it can happen for you. What do you look back on with the belief that it is too late to have it happen in your life and what could you do for it to be your reality today?
