Managing the universe's resources

Each day we are given access to the multitude of resources that the Universe provides. This includes the place where we live, the food that we eat, the clothes that we wear, and the air that we breathe. We honor and respect what the planet gives forth for these to exist in our lives. We do so by recognizing that we have a responsibility to think through the use of these resources. What are we doing to ensure that what we are using today will be available to our children and their children in the generations to come? Will there be enough clean water to drink, enough trees and other plants to provide the oxygen we need to breathe, or air that is healthy and breathable? For without these basic resources the need for food, clothing, and shelter will become secondary to our survival. When we see ourselves as planetary stewards, we take responsibility for the proper care of our Earth. We do so out of love because caring is a basic tenet of human nature. When we fill our part of our agreement for living here, the planet does the same. We maintain a symbiotic relationship that is beneficial to all.
