Obstacle or opportunity?

It is not uncommon that events occur for which we are unprepared. You may be searching for your next position at work and have done all the necessary research to interview flawlessly. That portion of the process proceeds as planned. You are sure that the offer is yours. Three days later you receive a letter thanking you for your interest in the job, but the company has chosen someone else. You sit there in a daze wondering what went wrong. How could they have made such a mistake? After licking your wounds you wonder if things will ever change for you. Then out of the blue your friend tells you of a position that is your dream job. This time the end result is quite different. The position is yours. Later you discover that the company for which you initially interviewed was acquired and your job was eliminated. What was first seen as an obstacle to your being employed allowed you to be available for the perfect position. When dealing with obstacles be prepared to release their outcome and stay focused on what you truly desire.
