On your birthday

Each year we celebrate the anniversary of our arrival on this planet. There are parties, cards, and cakes to acknowledge our presence. In some cultures a birthday custom involves blowing out candles on a cake and making a wish for the upcoming year. We keep the wish a secret hoping that the Universe will deliver on it during the upcoming year. Our friends and family support us in whatever that wish is. We are reminded of the endless possibilities that await us in the next year. Wouldn't it be a novel idea to celebrate in this way every day of the year? You could start your day by making your wish knowing that everyone around you is supporting it coming true. You would be constantly aware of possibilities for good to enter your life. Think of the light of the candles on an immense cake, one candle for each day of your life to this point. Each day would be more brilliant in light than the one before it.
