Sending blessings

It is easy enough to bless those in our lives for whom we have a natural affinity. These are family and friends with whom we share a close bond. As we travel beyond that circle of intimacy it becomes more of a challenge to send blessings to those on the perimeter of that circle. What keeps us from extending blessings to these people as well? Is it judgment, prejudice, hurt, jealousy? All of these are rooted in fear. They may be based on us fearing that we will not have our needs met. It is important to realize that our needs do not have human beings as their source. They are only the vehicle through which we experience our beliefs. The true source of our needs is met from something greater than any one human being. We may call it God, the Universe, Allah, or any term of our choosing. When we accept that each human being is simply acting out of his or her own belief system, it becomes easier to send them the blessings they need to move along their journey. We don't have to be specific in what those blessings are. They can include anything the person needs today to help them along their path. What blessings are you sending out to others today?
