Staying safe

I recently changed my health insurance policy. In doing so there was a one-day lapse in coverage. The agent suggested that I remain home that day as many people do in fear that some disaster would occur and there would be no coverage. I thanked the agent and checked my schedule for the day in question. It was filled with activities that took me away from home. They were also activities that I had been looking forward to. I reminded myself that, if I chose to think of the day as loaded with potential accidents, one would surely come my way. Instead I chose to focus on the positive side of the day and the enjoyment that would come with it. Needless to say there wasn't even a close call that day. I wondered what my day would have been like had I stayed home in bed under the covers. People have accidents in their homes every day. I began my day by placing it in the hands of the Universe and the rest was easy. I now know when it is time to stay safe and when it is time to throw caution to the wind. Where are you today in trusting that the Universe will take care of you?
