Taking time to play

Date:
September 13, 2010

Last night I was invited to the home of some friends for dinner. After a wonderful meal and lively conversation, our hosts announced that we were going to play a card game. My first question was to ask if it involved a lot of concentration and strategizing. They assured me that it would be fun and not too cerebral. Once I was able to retain what cards were wild and how the game progressed, it DID turn out to be quite a source of amusement. Laughter prevailed and there was no heavy pressure to play one's cards perfectly. I even won the first game. I sometimes forget how important it is to take time to laugh and play as part of my day. I would even play the game again if the opportuntity presented itself. What did you do today that brought laughter into your life?
