The importance of surrendering

So much of what we hope to attract in our lives is associated with having to struggle to receive it. We may have been raised with messages such as "No pain, No gain" or "That is my cross to bear." The Universe does not differentiate between those who believe they have to suffer to achieve and those who view receiving what they desire as their birthright. The Universe simply responds to our intentions and the vibrational level that accompany them. It does not make judgments about who deserves or doesn't deserve having their intentions manifested. This is how it demonstrates what is at its core - pure unconditional love. The closer I am to vibrating at this same level, the more assured I can be that my intentions will be acted upon. Given the energy expended to struggle, I would choose the path of least resistance. That is why we need to release the outcome once we have set our intention. The Universe is then free to act to realize it for us. In surrendering we actually achieve victory. What is happening in your life today that needs to be surrendered?
