Time well spent

We use the term "spending your time" as if the concepts of time and money were related. Time is a valuable commodity in that, unlike money, once it is spent, it cannot be replenished. You can't bank time. I don't know of anyone who can deposit three days of time into their time account. We do hear of people who live on "borrowed" time. That may be the closest thing we have to a time account. These are people who survive an event that would have resulted in death for the majority of those who went through it. They believe that they have been granted an extension of the time they are here on this planet. Is how you spend your time synonymous to how you spend your money? Do you have a lackadaisical attitude toward time unaware of its presence or significance? Do you look at time as a precious commodity being mindful of how you use it? This doesn't require that you spend every moment of your life engaged in an activity that will change the world. It means that you can look back on your day and identify those moments in which you were spending your time in alignment with your purpose. In doing so, the word "bored" would never enter your conversation. Think of ways that you can be using your time productively. What are some of the ways that you choose to spend your time and would you change anything about that knowing that your time is limited?
