Untold opportunities

The wonderful thing about life is that it is filled with unexpected surprises. Imagine the day you were born. With it came limitless possibilities. Each of these possibilities became an opportunity. A chance to further explore it and decide how much of it you wanted to incorporate into your life experiences. There were possibilities related to the type of work you would pursue, where you might live, how far you would go in school, or how much money you would earn. While they were initially present, where life took you was based on the opportunities around them. The work you pursued was based on what was available at the moment, whether you were invited in for an interview, or whether you had the skills needed to perform your job duties. How far you would go in school depended on your academic skills, what was needed to qualify for a specific position, or maintaining your interest in the major you chose. These never ending opportunities will occur throughout your life. It is up to you as to what you will do when presented with them. Certainly some of them may not represent your best interests, yet they are still opportunities.They are life’s stepping stones. They are what keep you from feeling stuck knowing that a new opportunity is just around the corner. What opportunities have presented themselves to you lately and what do you plan to do with them?
