What a wonderful world

Given the vast numbers of stars and their orbiting bodies in our universe, ours is the only planet that we know of that holds life as we know it. As time passes we will likely discover that life exists elsewhere in many magnificent forms, for creation expresses itself in countless ways. You only need to look around you to see the incredible beauty of our planet. Our senses serve to inform us of the sights, sounds, and smells present to savor. I have been blessed to have visited all seven continents. When asked which is my favorite, I respond that I cannot answer because they are all so different each offering such diversity. Plant and animal life thrive when given the respect they deserve. Our blue waters and life giving air exist in a delicate balance that serve to keep us alive. With such beauty comes a responsibility on our part to nurture and sustain it. It is not ours to abuse as its lords, but to coexist with it from a stance of love and respect. It is our home. Think of how you choose to live in that home and ask yourself if you treat the world accordingly. Take time to notice the beauty around you. What changes might you need and want to make to show your appreciation for the planet on which you live?
