What the future holds
It's natural for us to want to know what awaits us on the other side of what we are currently experiencing. There are those who believe that we will return to the everyday life of 2019. We will somehow pick up where we left off and socialize with friends, return to our jobs, take vacations to wherever we want, and shop at our favorite stores. While it would be wonderful to have this happen, it may only be wishful thinking. We are already hearing how major companies are redesigning the workplace for their employees to carry out their work tasks. They see as many as 50% or more working remotely which means they no longer have to live within commuting distance. This has a domino effect on the housing in the area and income levels based on where the employees relocate. What we may see is a new sense of freedom. Perhaps there will be a greater sense of community as we focus more on local resources. Our environment has certainly benefited from what is happening. There are endless possibilities as to what the future holds. Ask what your part could be in creating the new normal. How could what we create be even better than what we left behind?
