A time for thanks
The practice of setting aside time to express thanks and gratitude occurs across the planet, especially at this time of the year. Most often it is associated with gratitude for a plentiful harvest that sustained people throughout the winter. In the United States we stop and give thanks on the fourth Thursday in November each year. We acknowledge our blessings and the bounty of the day. Our first Thanksgiving was celebrated sometime in the fall of 1621 when the Pilgrims and the Indians came together for three days of feasting and games following a winter that saw the deaths of half the colonists. There is so much to be grateful for in our lives. Sometimes it is as simple as having awakened that day. We can be grateful for our families, our work, our home. We can also express gratitude for our freedom, our creativity, and our optimism. Living today appreciating what you have brings more of it into your life. That is how the Law of Attraction works. What are you grateful and thankful for today?
