Divine DNA

In thinking about the way spiritual principles work, one way to understand how we are connected to the Universe is to think about the cells of our body. The individual cell is not the entire body, just as each of us is not the Universe. The DNA within the cell carries an imprint of who we are just as each of us is an individual expression of something greater than ourselves. As our cells contain information related to our physical being, the Universe imparts comparable spiritual information. Since it has a great capacity for love, beauty, and giving, these qualities are transmitted to us when we enter this earthly plane. We are also bestowed the quality of free will that allows us to make choices that sometimes results in a feeling of separation. Yet like our cells that continue to carry our genetic code long after we pass, that which is the divine part of us never ceases to exist. What is your understanding of your connection to the Universe?
