Imagination is funny
As far as I know, human beings are the only species blessed with the gift of imagination. Imagination is the ability to create images and ideas detached from the presence of physical objects. It is not tied to what is. You are free to imagine trees that talk, dinosaurs coexisting with cavemen, and rivers that constantly change colors. Imagination is most often manifested through the visual forms of art and cinema. Imagination allows you to vision new ways of organizing ideas. It can be applied to any aspect of life. You usually begin the process by closing your eyes to limit the influence of your physical senses. Then you focus on whatever you choose. It may be how you would like to see people getting along in the world, a planet on which its inhabitants are devoted to its well-being, or a novel way of doing a common household chore. The topics are endless. They are only limited by how far you want to go with them. All it requires is you taking the time to exercise this gift. If you feel challenged in your imagining, seek the expertise of a small child. Children have this gift mastered. We see it in their drawings and their stories. They have yet to feel the sting of adult injunctions that remind us that what we imagine is frivolous and a waste of time. Dare to imagine, for in that imagining are the seeds of manifestation. Have fun with it. Do it often. What was the last imagining that you had?
