Just the facts
Five people witness one car colliding with another in a busy intersection. The police arrive and ask each person to report what they saw. What do you think the likelihood would be of each of them telling the exact same story? You would think it would be the same since they all observed the same incident. Yet that is rarely the case. The facts for one will not necessarily agree with that of the others. One may have been focusing on the position of the vehicles while the other may have watched the traffic light change. How accurate will the final report be? We often make judgments based on what we think are the facts. Was one vehicle dark blue or black? What circumstances might have caused one diver to proceed through the intersection? In reality it is only our perspective and filter that we are basing those judgments upon. As time passes our recollections can become cloudier. Think of the times you may have judged someone based on limited information. Were the facts irrefutable or were they questionable? What is happening in your life today that needs to have you rethink your facts?
