On the path

While we are never truly off the path, there may be times when it appears obscure. Those are the days when we doubt ourselves and the decisions we make. It feels like we are treading water with no shore in sight. We patiently await answers and direction. Once they arrive we feel a sense of exhilaration. The road ahead is clear and we are confident of what we want and need to accomplish. A number of years ago I made a decision to leave an occupation that I had been fairly successful at to start a new chapter in my career. I left a comfortable income to begin my own business venture. There have been days when I have questioned that decision, and that doesn't help me to move forward. Last night I had the opportunity to be a guest on a local radio program talking about a topic I knew well. This morning I met a neighbor who told me that she had listened to the program and how helpful the information was to her. This was a confirmation that I am indeed on the path to what I am meant to do. All we need do is to be open to the message that is sent to remind us where we are heading.
