Taking inventory

When you visualize your life five years from now, you set your intentions to fill it with everything that brings you joy and happiness. When doing so it is important to take inventory of where you are today in each of these areas. For example, if your intention is to live in a home overlooking the ocean, what does your living situation look like today? How close are you to having this intention materialize for you? Have you determined an area where this would happen - the state, or even the country? If your intention is to be employed in a specific occupation, where are you today with the skills needed for that position? What experiences are you having that will build the necessary skill sets to be considered for that job? Once you do this, you can identify the next steps in achieving your dream. The clearer you are on your current situation, the easier it is to know what to do next. Businesses conduct inventories on a regular basis so that they can have what they need to meet their goals.
