That's enough for now
We are surrounded by abundance. Sometimes we become myopic in our view of what that looks like. There is more than enough gold, silver, and other precious metals on the planet to meet the financial needs of those who inhabit it. There is enough space to plant crops to feed the hungry. There are enough people surrounding us so that we never have to be alone. It is only when we focus our attention on lack that we feel fearful about it not showing up in our lives. The result is that we divide the world into the "haves" and "have nots." Of course the natural inclination is to do whatever it takes to be on the side of the "haves." This is where greed and hoarding step in based on the fear of lack. It occurs when people fail to assess their current needs and believe that what they will receive to meet those needs is enough. The questions related to money become one of asking, "Does a person really need a billion dollars to feel financially comfortable? What is enough for now? How are we using that excess to help others?" Would you rather spend your time enjoying life or chasing after the next big deal fearing that it could disappear tomorrow? What does enough of anything look like for you and how are you grateful for its presence in your life?
