The best laid plans
We are encouraged to set goals as a way of providing direction and purpose in our lives. Those goals are designed to improve some aspect of our lives. They may be related to our careers, business ventures, or our health. We take the actions necessary to achieve those goals. In many cases we accomplish what we have set out to attain. Along the way we evaluate them to determine if they continue to support our direction and purpose. When they no longer serve us for whatever reason, we may need to set them aside knowing that something better will be made evident to us. We are not always sure what that will look like, but we can be confident that the path we are to take will become clear. Look back at some of the goals you had and identify ones that changed or were discarded. Where are you today as a result of this? Are there any goals that you need to adopt again such as completing a degree or exercising on a regular basis? Continue to ask yourself if achieving this goal will support your life direction and purpose. What new goals would you incorporate into your life that would expand who you are? How would you feel as a result of them becoming a reality for you? It is all part of life's on-going process of growth. What are your plans telling you about your life today?
