They say that...
How many times have you heard someone say, "They say that...?" "They say that the stock market is going to crash." " They say that no one is hiring right now." The list goes on and on. There must be a collective "they" to which the person is referring. We know that when we give credence to the "they," that we are allowing them to influence our reality. One of the most famous instances of "They say that" occurred in what was known as Y2K. As we changed from 1999 to 2000, many people expressed serious concern about what they were told would happen. "They said that" computers would crash, society would be in chaos, and communication systems would collapse. Millions were spent on attempting to avoid these events. I had friends who invested in stockpiling food and purchasing generators when the power failed. I refused to buy into that type of thinking. As we now know, the millennium passed without any problems that we know of. It only took a small percentage of the world's population to focus positive energy on the change and affect its outcome.
