Who do you know?

While hosting a birthday party, I asked each of the guests to name a famous person they had met during their lifetime. All of the guests were from either the Baby Boomer or Traditionalist generation. Their current or former occupations and backgrounds would not necessarily have allowed them access to meeting famous people. I had no expectations of what they would say and the responses were astounding. Every one named Hollywood actors, authors, politicians, and heads of state including several former presidents. All of them were well-known. Our six degrees of separation narrowed with one simple party game. It was a reminder that we are all connected and that you don't have to be rich or famous to meet other such people. It was fascinating to hear the stories of how the introductions occurred and how, for a short span of time, it was a simple matter of two people interacting. There was no differentiation based on perceived status. This is the true nature of who we are. Who have you met and what was the impression they left as a result of that meeting?
