Why not me?

Date:
January 6, 2020

We are tempted to look at others and ask, "Why not me?" In our eyes others have more money, are in a relationship, drive an expensive car. The list goes on and on. When we focus on who we believe has it better than we do, we are focused on lack. There is something missing in our lives that would bring us happiness if he had it. What is it that they are doing that we are not? What makes them better than me? Perhaps they are more receptive to having what we desire in their lives. Or perhaps they are building a karmic debt that will be paid in the future, What we are describing here is envy. The more we think about lack, the more we attract it. We forget to be grateful for what we have. You can always set an intention for having the objects of your desire in your life. Then release the outcome. In the meantime practice gratitude assured that you are deserving of the gifts the universe has to offer. You probably aren't even aware that others may be looking at you wishing that they had something you possess. What are you seeking in your life and how would you turn that into an intention?
