Many happy returns

Do you remember when someone had a birthday, that the response would be, “many happy returns of the day?” The wish was that the happiness the person was experiencing that day would reoccur throughout their life. What if that extended to every day of their life? What if each day was as happy as our birthday when we celebrated the anniversary of our arrival on earth? You arrived as a unique expression of a Divine love for you. No one else would ever share that uniqueness. The question was, “Now that you are here, how do you plan to make the most of it?” Would your life be a reflection of the love that accompanied you here or would it live a life based on fear? It was up to you as to how that story would unfold. How might that look if you knew that you could live a life filled with happiness – a life dedicated to a commitment to strive for your highest good? Remind yourself how it feels to reach out in kindness to others, the difference it makes for you and those around you. Now imagine what that would be like with many happy returns of that day. How are you choosing the return you receive based on what you give out to the world?
